Mis-sold PPI

Payment protection insurance was sold by Irish banks on a number of loans, credit cards and other forms of borrowing that were issued in the past decade. If you took out a loan, mortgage or credit card with an Irish financial institution then you can use our PPI calculator tool to get an estimation of your potential PPI refund.
How do I know if I was mis-sold PPI?
One of the main issues with payment protection insurance was that customers simply didn’t know they had actually been sold the policy in the first place. In other cases, customers felt pressurised into purchasing PPI or were led to believe that the policy was compulsory.
In other instances, the client’s eligibility was not fully assessed and they were sold PPI policies which they could not have claimed on. They may have been self-employed, unemployed or on temporary contracts and in many cases this would have prevented them from claiming. A person’s medical history may not have been discussed when most policies contain exclusions for pre-existing medical conditions.
